Mara Kraus

Mara grew up in the Tri-Cities and completed her education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

While she worked in healthcare for most of her career, Mara found that audiology gave her the greatest satisfaction. Finding a job where she could help people was incredibly important and she gets to live that dream every day.

In addition to managing the day-to-day operations at Sound Audiology, Mara brings a critical specialization to her role—insurance expertise. Understanding the nuances of health insurance policies, she strives to ensure that every patient receives the maximum benefits possible. With an intrinsic ability to decipher complex insurance jargon, Mara has proven to be an asset in assisting patients in understanding their policies better and ensuring that their hearing aid investments are cost-effective.

She relentlessly works with various insurance companies, advocating for patients’ rights and securing the best coverage. With Mara on your side, you can rest assured knowing you’re getting the most out of your insurance benefits, making your journey to better hearing smoother and more affordable.

Managing a leading hearing healthcare clinic can be tough, as Mara’s day-to-day responsibilities vary. Most days, she spends her time taking care of patients, overseeing employee/clinic needs, working with insurance companies, and many other projects.

As Mara explains “Truly, there is never a dull moment, as you never know what problem you will be faced with each day. Everything is centered on excellent patient service and care, making it a fulfilling place to grow”.

Outside of work, Mara enjoys hiking, running, cycling, and being with family. She particularly enjoys spending time on one of the lakes north of where she lives.
